Sony Xperia S Tablet (SGPT111IN/S) Black
its basic performance needs work
What a difference one year makes. Sony caught everyone’s attention late last year with the Tablet S and P. However, despite their radical designs, they had their problems. As such they never really found very strong commercial success like Samsung’s Galaxy Tab or even Apple’s iPad. Sony is back this time with the Xperia S Tablet, a device that borrows design aesthetics from it’s very own NXT range. The result is a slim, sleek, beautiful device that is an awe to behold. The aesthetic takes the “folded magazine” approach of the Tablet S but more subtle. It assists in gripping the device, besides slightly tilting it forward on the table. Build quality is incredible, constructed from aluminum and boasting sufficient toughness. At 594 grams and 0.47 inches thick, the Xperia S Tablet isn’t the lightest but is still easy to carry. Specifications: And here’s where things start to plateau. Not necessarily go down hill, but just about even out. An nVidia Tegra 3 quad-core 1.3 GHz CPU with 1 GB of RAM and a whopping 64 GB of internal storage (along with a full SD port for additional space) adorn the Xperia S Tablet. Oddly, despite these specs, which beat out the mid-range efforts of Acer and Asus in the benchmarks, the performance doesn’t translate to real world performance. You’ll often find a few stutters here and there, especially when scrolling and zooming in on website pages. What could have made for a beautiful 9.4 inch display - the likes of what we’re used to from Sony - instead becomes another mirror. The display is highly reflective, not to mention extremely slippery. It’s a shame, because with IPS tech, a 1280x800 resolution and 160 ppi pixel density, it provides some crisp and clear colours. Connectivity options include 3G and Wi-Fi. The 8 megapixel camera lacks a discernible focus and sensible zoom options, though pictures and video are decent with 1080p video recording providing clear audio throughout. Battery life measures around 8 to 8.5 hours, which is not great compared to it’s top competitors, but it’s not bottom of the barrel either. Sony took the liberty of laying Android 4.0 with it’s own custom UI, including quick access shortcuts for apps, and plenty of bundled software. Guest Mode is interesting, since it entails setting permissions and passwords for others using the tablet. The Jelly Bean update is a given, but there’s currently no news on when it’ll be available. Pros: 1. Sleek and interesting design, which is also highly comfortable to grip 2. Good performance and decent battery life 3. Display is high definition and colorfully crisp Cons: 1. Battery life could be better; real world performance is uneven, especially when surfing. 2. Highly reflective display makes outdoor use frustrating 3. Camera features need work. Verdict: The Sony Xperia S Tablet is a good step forward and certainly a better effort than last year’s products. Nonetheless, its basic performance needs work. Great design and a beautiful albeit reflective screen can only carry it so far compared to the competition’s efforts.

Surprise Tablet!!!!!!!!1
With the market suddenly flooded with so many tablets I was confused as to what would be a good option to buy without burning a hole in my pocket, and Sony Tablet S proved to be just the perfect choice here. I recently bought the tablet and henceforth have been highly satisfied with it. The tablet has a screen of 9.4inches, which means a resolution of 800x1280pixels. The tablet is light weighing 625g. The tablet comes with internal memory of 16Gb and 32Gb which is expandable up to 32Gb. It also has a RAM of 16Gb. It has a 5MP camera which comes with features like autofocus, touch focus, image stabilization, face/smile detection, geo-tagging etc. The battery life is 400hrs on standby mode and 31hrs on music play mode. It uses one of the most advanced operating systems around, Android 4.0.3 which is also known as Ice Cream Sandwich. The only thing I think it lacks is the internet, which is available only through Wi-Fi and not mobile broadband. But I think apart from this it’s an exceptionally good Android tablet, which is really easy to use, light weighted, Packed with great features and a bonus is that it comes with Sony PlayStation certification too. And thus I recommend this Tablet as a must buy.

It is one of the best products i have ever used.Sony Tablet delivers the perfect combination of hardware, content and network with seamless usability for a high-quality, engaging entertainment experience.  A daring and ergononmic design, the Sony Tablet S keeps the weight closer to your hand, resulting in less wrist strain. It’s the 9.4” LED-lit TruBlack™ screen you’d expect from a Sony. Enjoy exploring your connected world even more with the beautiful display offered by Sony’s unique panel display and ant-reflection.Sony's latest software technology brings you faster web browsing, a more responsive touch panel, smooth animation through the menus and the tablet can even act as a universal infrared remote control for your Blu-ray player, stereo and cable box. It even works on non-Sony brands.i think it is better than all other tablets
