Nokia Lumia 510 White
The Nokia Lumia 510 has no illusions or hang-ups about what it’s trying to achieve
As part of the previous generation, the Nokia Lumia 510 aims to appeal to an even more budget conscious mindset than even the 610 did. So it’s officially the cheapest smartphone to run Windows Phone OS, albeit 7.5 Mango. This is a pretty good achievement but in this day and age when Windows Phone OS 8 Apollo is ruling the roost to rave reviews, does the older version have any gas left in the tank? At least Nokia has the design part down pat. Build quality is incredibly strong, with a faux unibody look and several colour choices, all at 129 grams and a bulky 0.45 inches thick. Nonetheless, the device is compact, and comfortable to hold despite the screen attracting its fair share of smudges. Specs The Nokia Lumia 510 features an 800 MHz CPU with 256 MB of RAM and about 2.2 GB of available internal storage. Performance is decent when navigating menus but do anything even remotely taxing like launching apps and you’ll find the device lagging ever so slightly. But the biggest problem is the limited storage, since there’s no microSD slot on board either. As for the 4 inch, 800x480 resolution screen, it looks fairly decent - obviously lacking many of the more luxurious technologies inherent in the higher Lumia devices. So don’t expect great sharpness or viewing angles. Connectivity is achieved via 3G and Wi-Fi, with Internet Explorer 9 providing an interesting browsing experience. While handling text heavy pages, it does alright, but anything media heavy will weigh it down. The 5 megapixel camera is a notch below average, despite the 4x digital zoom, touch to focus and face recognition features. It captures videos 640x480, which are even more shabby - but then, this is a budget device. Anything outside of posting for friends to see won’t be realistic. Battery life is good, as always, with a 1300 mAh cell providing 6-8 hours with regular use and a day or two with more sporadic use. Windows Phone OS 7.5, as stated, is now fairly antiquated but runs smoothly, with the LiveTile UI still looking good. If the Lumia 510 were to be used to introduce the simplicity of the OS to the masses, it achieves that goal quite easily (with an upgrade to version 7.8 reportedly on the way). Aside from Nokia’s Voice Search though, which is nothing special, there really isn’t much that stands out amongst the apps. Pros - Good build quality and design for budget device - Decent performance; runs Windows OS 7.5 with no issues - Strong battery life - 4 inch display Cons - Shoddy camera - Very little internal storage; no microSD slot for expansion - Slight lag when launching apps - Windows OS 7.5 is kind of outdated Verdict The Nokia Lumia 510 has no illusions or hang-ups about what it’s trying to achieve. It’s a budget Windows Phone, the cheapest of its kind. Nothing more, and nothing less. For those seeking their first Windows Phone, it’s worth a look, but better devices in this range exist elsewhere.

Nokia Lumia 510 review: Down a gear
Now Nokia Lumia 510 is the best at the price it is offered from the World's Top Company in Asia whom every Indian loves because everyone has owned one in their lifetime. So Right now it has following Pros which are truly remarkable in it's segment: 1) It's a Nokia ( People using other brands would acknowledge this as a big advantage who have used a Nokia Phone in the Past) 2) It's under 10k which is VFM 3) It's a Windows 7.5 Smartphone which will get 7.8 Update and hence adds more features which are considered standard by many. People please use a Windows 7 phone and see how smoothly and effortlessly it works. Plus It's simple and beautiful. Techies would argue with Android but understand that Android needs some Good Processing and RAM to run smoothly. Symbian is old news so better to come to terms rather than whimper. 4) 4" Screen is Lovely 5) It's much better than All the Gingerbread Android's, Nokia's own Asha Dumb Phones, All Chinese Stuff plus all Device's from Indian Companies who have reliability issues with respect to device build and overall Value. 6) IE 10 Browsing is Awesome 7) Office Apps 8) Rest all standard stuff as other Phone's like Bluetooth, 3G, GPS etc. Cons: 1) Agreed 2.2 GB for user is low but is it so low that People can't use it? 2) No Flash for Camera which User's can live with as even though it would have been great but sadly it's not there. 3) 256 MB RAM does limit the App Compatibility but it's worth the amount of Lag and Sluggish behavior of Phones in the Segment. in my point of view this is a best phone ever i seen nd good camera...luvin sound nd specialy message skill is very good in this phone.nd it's a nokia phone. nokia is a very good company in my point of i use nokia phone nd my gf also use dis phone. when i used dis phone it can give all facility what i need.dat's hy m luvin dis phone. I Only Found Is Internal Memory Is 4 GB And No External... And U Have World's No.1 Trusted Brand Like Nokia... Looks really neat - with 4'' display, this phone looks really smart.. When I was considering a touch phone, I had the following on my mind (this is not a technical review, just a layman's 2 cents..): Very decent camera, but doesn't have a flash so keep that in mind. Amazing windows phone ..... giving a PC Feel ........Whereever we can take as PC as well as phone .. Lot of windows apps can be installed and used ... we can do office work also.. Best Product from Nokia after long time so i luv dis phone...

An insight into the Nokia Lumia 510.
I got the Nokia Lumia 510 as my birthday gift around a couple of weeks back. Having never used a smart phone before, I am certainly excited to possess one and avail the features that come with smart phones. At the outset I must mention that the phone is reasonably sleek has the looks to attract the attention of customers right at the first glance. The outlook prepared by windows and the colourful tiles provided in the homescreen make it for interesting viewing. The feature that has impressed me the most are the synchronization facilities of my contact list with social networking sites such as facebook. Also, I cannot recall a phone with a better fm sound output. Listening to the fm should be a delight to anyone’s ears. The other features which I have found useful are some of the in built applications like ‘The Weather Channel’ and ‘Sports Tracker’. Its calendars ability to synchronise itself with networking sites is another exciting addition. However, this phone in my view comes with a lot of drawbacks as well. Firstly this phone supports a micro sim. Converting the normal sim to a micro is a hassle in itself. The battery backup is reasonably poor considering the fact that Nokia phones come with a good reputation on that front. With the internet pack on the batter barely lasts a day. The processor speed is not great either. It is sometimes irritating to use a brand new phone that operates slowly. But most importantly, the complicacies associated with a windows phone is perhaps the biggest drawback. The phone operates on windows 7.5 mango. This system does not support Bluetooth transfer facility. In order to avail this, my OS needs to be upgraded. Something as basic as Bluetooth not being supported is indeed a letdown. The music and the camera are of average quality. All in all the phone is average. I can only presume that there are better options at its cost.
