Nokia 1280 Grey
It is a nice phone
4/ 5
It was on my 18th birthday that my father brought for me a Nokia 1280 (the question arises is who the hell wants such a phone at a time when the people around are using touch-phones and all...). I had taken admission in A.R.S.D College under Delhi University and was studying Bsc.Electronics and my father had given it to me as a gift, a phone which I thought of as of no use at all. Nokia 1280, a phone with 1.8 inches black and white display and weighing a meager 81.9 grams. The best features of the phone for me, a boy from a Middle-class family was the inbuilt FM radio and the games that it had (Cricket cup, Bounce and Snake Xenzia..). It didn't had touchscreen, no internet availability, no Facebook, twitter or video streaming services, no camera and no Bluetooth (for god's sake...then why me even writing this...). For me my phone, Nokia 1280 was of no use but I was still satisfied with it. It was my personal phone, then it had games in it and the radio, also it had a great battery backup. I only charged it once during the weekends and on Wednesday and it would run for the entire week. All my friends call my cellphone as Blackberry (out of sarcasm, of course....) and it was a fine thing. The best thing about it which I came to knew afterwards that made it even a better option than touch-phones were that I could throw it away anywhere (even from 2nd floor of a building...which I really did..) and it wouldn't break, but if one would throw a touch-phone then god knows what would happen to that 6000 upward ranged non-living entity. My phone is just useful for taking up calls and sending out messages and is comfortable to use. It is a nice phone, of course with not so high-tech features that many other phones boast of but it is the best bet if someone just wants a cell-phone with long-battery backup and also easy to use. As someone who doesn't take care of his things and is rash in using them, Nokia 1280 kind of phone was like a great thing to happen.

decent phone...
4/ 5
Nokia 1280 is a 2G single sim phone. It is a GSM phone released in March 2010. It is a basic feature phone of Nokia with flash light torch and weighs just around 92 grams. It has got a monochrome graphic display screen, but the screen size is too short, measures around 1.36 inches. Call alerts can be mp3 ringtones in this phone and vibration also. It has a loudspeaker but sound is not even loud. Supports only 500 contact list entries, quite decent. It has no GPRS, EDGE facility. But it has a FM Radio which can be turned on only by inserting the ear phones in the 3.5 mm jack. It has a voice memo feature. Battery back up is quite decent. Overall, a nice simple phone.

sound is too bad
4/ 5
Nokia 1280 is a single SIM GSM phone, a 2G phone that came out in market around March 2010. A simple basic featured phone that is very easy to carry because of its light weight measuring around 92 g. this phone comes with a flash light torch. Its monochrome graphic display screen is just of 1.36 inches, too less dimesions, must have been at least 1.8 inches. Supports mp3 ringtones and vibration mode as well for incoming call alerts. The sound of loudspeaker it really not loud, I wonder why they give it. the speaker phone for receiving calls has very low sound as well. It comes with a FM radio and a voice memo feature. Battery life is good.
