A True Value for Money Smartphone from LG

-This Android smartphone features 4.7 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 540 x 960 to give you life like colour and picture quality. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection which prevents scratches and damage to the screen.

-The 1.2 GHz Quad Core Processor coupled with 1 GB RAM, gives you lag free performance and speed even while using multiple apps. The Android Kitkat v4.4.2 operating system is also smooth and intuitive. Also, it is upgradable to Lollipop version for smoother performance.

-The 8 MP rear camera of this LG smartphone lets you capture beautiful moments of your life with enhanced picture quality.

-This dual SIM smartphone allows you to use two numbers with one phone, thereby preventing you from the hassle of carrying an extra phone in your pocket.

-The 32 GB expandable memory of this allows you to store all your favorite and important content.

-The 2540 mAh battery gives you up to 19 hours of talk time and 864 hours of standby time on 3G network.

-The phone does not feature 4G connectivity, however supports 3G, Wi-Fi, GPRS/HSPA, EDGE and Bluetooth.

-The 0.3 MP selfie camera of this Android smartphone may feel a bit limited for selfie lovers.

It has 1.2 GHz Quad core processor to enhance the performance of the phone, and the operating system is up-gradable to the latest Lollipop 5.0 version for a better interface and smoother operation. Disappointing Performance
LG may have broken out and catered to the premium crowd in the past year with the LG G2 and Nexus 5, but it still had a mid-tier range of smartphones that it initially started out with. The price of the LG L90 Dual will have you debating its mid-range aspirations though especially when better devices like the Motorola Moto G cost less and perform better. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 400, 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB internal storage make up the technical features of the LG L90 Dual. The display is subpar, measuring 4.7 inches and only sporting a qHD resolution. Colour quality is shabby and there’s a lack of sharpness overall. Connectivity features include Bluetooth, 3G, Wi-Fi and dual SIM functionality. The rear camera has an 8 megapixel sensor and at least some it captures mostly good images in all conditions. Battery life is good for the most part but heavier usage tends to decrease it dramatically. On an average, you’re looking at about 7 or so hours of life. LG’s heavily skinned Android 4.4.2 KitKat is intriguing at best, needlessly complicated at worst with a reliable Knock Code implementation. The LG L90 Dual features a decent array of specs but fails to properly package them together. Opt for the Motorola Moto G instead. Pros: - Snapdragon 400 CPU - Good battery life at times - Above average 8 megapixel camera Cons: - Heavily skinned Android interface - Disappointing display - Horrible battery life at times - Performance is disappointing

A decent choice
Reviews of the LG L90 Dual have indicated that it’s one step forward and several steps backwards before finally fumbling under its own ambition. The LG L90 Dual features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage. The devil is in the details though – the usable storage barely registers above 3.8 GB and performance is surprisingly weaker than the cheaper Motorola Moto G. The 4.7 inch display also only sports a 960x540 resolution and for all of LG’s expertise in premium screens, it suffers in terms of quality and video processing. The viewing angles are shabby and glare becomes a big problem at times. At least the 8 megapixel rear camera functions well, though macro images can expose the lack of finer details. The 2750 mAh battery is also incredibly iffy, delivering anywhere between 5 to 8 hours of continuous heavy usage. Android 4.4.2 KitKat is included but the user interface has been heavily modified by LG. Those seeking a stock launcher will be disappointed, especially since they’ll need to relearn a few things but at least LG’s Knock Code – which allows you to unlock your device using a series of knocks across the display – is reliable. The LG L90 Dual’s price is Rs. 19,000. Compare this to the Moto G’s Rs. 12,499 price and that the former sports a far better package with an HD display, faster performance and stock launcher and it becomes easy to see why LG’s latest falls short.
